Senior Minister Rev. J. Roger Beason was called to First christian Church in Columbus and began his ministry here on November 15, 2008.  Roger is a native of South Carolina, but earned his Bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry from Tabor College-Wichita, his Master of Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, and is currently working on his Doctorate of Ministry in Church and Society at Phillips.  He brings to our church the strong desire to help each member of the congregation develop his/her own spirituality, including discerning what spiritual gifts they have that can be used to further God's church.
